Mr Curtis Smoote said it was still the best BBQ he ever ate but was a little over shredded...Drop by next week when the Frank Bennett Estate auctions off his 'BARN FIND' pickup truck.
At a first glance, J&J's BBQ doesn't seem like much, but take it from me, it's amazing! Best BBQ sandwiches you could ever have. Not huge or impressive menu by any means but their pulled pork sandwiches are to DIE FOR. They do an incredible job with the pork and sauce. Me and my friend always stop by whenever we're in Franklin county. Visiting J&J's BBQ is a MUST.
The menu was simple. The smell of the smoker was the first evidence to what was to come. The BBQ sandwich was not loaded with BBQ sauce and you could actually taste the meat! The meat was well portioned on the bun and chopped very nicely.The bun was soft and just soaked up the goodness.Loved the simplicity of this little BBQ place.There was 1 down fall.. there was no picnic table to eat at but we still ENJOYED IT!!!The young man that waited on us was super friendly. We rode our bike an hour and half from Alabama to try it out and it was well worth the trip. One last thing the prices are great as well... 2 sandwich 2 chips and 2 teas was 22 and change.
